Last week John and I saw Do Make Say Think play at Columbia University as part of Miller Theater’s Wordless Music series. Guitarist/bassist/trumpet player Charles Spearin’s side side project (I’m guess it’s safe to call DMST a side project to Broken Social Scene) Happiness Project opened and it was all sorts of Canadian fun.

My current favorite song is “It’s Only a Paper Moon”. It’s been done by a dozen people in a dozen different ways, but I personally prefer the version performed by Ella Fitzgerald with the accompaniment of the Mills Brothers.
